

Beneil Dariush’s story is the essence of a hero’s journey. He’s still one of the better grapplers in the division, so he has an ace up his sleeve that ages well in this sport. Something about Dariush as a fighter is really fascinating, he’s in a terrifying division with crazy athletes and monsters.
He’s clearly not physically gifted, at least not visibly, he does have strength and KO power in his hands. But, he always manages to get things done with a never give up attitude. His ability has helped him earn an award from the UFC.

Beneil Dariush gets overcome with emotion
Dariush’s awesome comeback KO victory over Drakkar Klose at UFC 248 received the most votes. An emotional Dariush commented about his injury ahead of the fight.
The grappling ace had a torn MCL two weeks before the fight and still appeared for it because he had to. He revealed that the game plan for the fight was takedown and control. But, somewhere along the way, he had to change things as he got hurt.

He thought the only thing that carried him through the whole fight knew that he could provide for his baby, and he would cherish that moment every time he saw this award.
UFC 248: Klose vs Dariush
At UFC 248, lightweights Beneil Dariush and Drakkar Klose fought each other. In the second round, Klose teed off and landed a number of massive punches. Just when Dariush appeared to be out, he landed an overhand right to wobble his opponent and gain an opening.

Dariush came in with solid strikes and turned the tables on his opponent, who was on the defensive. The Iranian fighter ended things with a massive left hand that completed an insane comeback that would not be topped in 2020.
The grappling ace started showing the world his lethal striking improvements at UFC 199 in 2016 when handing the undefeated James Vick his first career loss. Subsequently, the 31-year-old hit a brief rough patch after the win as he went 1-2-1.
