Conor McGregor is eyeing a 2022 return somewhere in July
The Irish fighter has suffered two devastating losses last year against Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier. The 33-year-old fighter also broke his leg at UFC 264 and has been out of the competition. The mixed martial artist has stated that he is likely going to resume sparring somewhere in April, and if that materializes, then the UFC Star can make his return somewhere in July.
He said,” They said, I can spar again, I can do whatever I can, I can box again. Basically, so I’m just going to take it day by day. hopefully now once I get back into sparring, I’ll know, I’ll know the weight, I know I feel. I know my own style.” he also added, “I’m not sure yet to be honest. I’m not sure yet. 170, 155, [or] 170 I’d imagine.”

The UFC star is also calling for a title shot, but it doesn’t seem like that will happen soon. The star has lost 3 fights in the lightweight division and has only registered one win. This will make it really difficult for the promotion to book him against the current champion, and he most likely will have to face another top contender of the division.
