Wake up, guys!! Conor McGregor has dropped another skit video on his social media, but this time he is just excited to witness Mike Goldberg back in the business. ‘Goldie’ has been one of the most prominent play-to-play broadcasters in the fighting business and he shares a professional relationship with the former dual weight champion as well.

Mark Goldberg was the man in the booth who called several fights for the former champ, which also included the blockbuster Nate Diaz fight. In his latest escapade, McGregor was not only excited to witness the comeback of ‘Goldie’ to BYB after leaving Bellator, but he also took a dig at his partner, Paulie Malignaggi. Let’s see what the UFC fighter said about the duo.

Conor McGregor reflects on Mike Goldberg and Paulie Malignaggi

The former dual weight champion recently took to his social media to add a video where he was stunned to witness Mark Goldberg on the BYB broadcasting team. McGregor said in an uncanny voice, “Hold on a second Mike Goldberg, Mike Goldberg’s back baby, yeah. This time Goldberg’s back baby”. However, while enjoying Goldberg’s return, McGregor took a dig at the former boxer Paulie Malignaggi and stated that he should train in a gym.

What’s the actual beef between the duo? When Conor McGregor was preparing to face Floyd Mayweather for his boxing debut, he enlisted Paulie Malignaggi as his sparring͏ partner. Everything was going smoothly until McGre͏gor’s͏ camp͏ decided ͏to release images of him knocking down Malignagg͏i during the session. This decision by the camp hampered McGregor’s relationship with the former two-division world champion boxer.

After some argument, Malignagg͏i decided to walk out of McGregor’s camp and he has been calling out the former dual weight champion ever since. ‘Notorious’ claimed that he not only knocked him out numerous times, but Malignagg͏i was having a hard time fighting him. The boxer termed these accusations baseless and stated that he was pushed down to the canvas and that he showed McGregor that he was better than him.

Well, just years after his beef with McGregor, Malignaggi fought against McGregor’s former friend Artem Lobov in a bare-knuckle boxing fight on June 22, 2019, and was defeated by Lobov. However, this defeat has not stopped the former two-division champion from talking bad about McGregor.

The beef between the Malignaggi and McGregor

Ever since the video footage episode, Malignaggi has been one of the biggest critics of Conor McGregor. The former two-division boxing champ never leaves a chance to blast the former dual-weight champion. He even went as far as to call out ‘Notorious’ for a boxing match against him. However, McGregor rarely paid any heed to his words.

In an interview with Action Network last year, Malignaggi asserted that even now he holds the capability to oust McGregor inside and outside the ring. “I’m a better trash talker than McGregor, that’s one of the reasons he did not fight me. I would have trashed him in the press conferences and the fight. It would have ended all of the hysteria around him because I would have destroyed him in the trash-talking and in the ring. I would have ruined the whole aura around him. He was smart not to pull the trigger on a fight with me,” said Malignaggi. The boxer took it one step further and claimed that McGregor is a quitter who quits whenever he is in a bad situation.
