UFC fans are ready to see Jon Jones come back. After making a decision to move up to the heavyweight division, ‘Bones’ had been waiting for a perfect return. Although Francis Ngannou is the current heavyweight champion, Jones wants to face Stipe Miocic- one of the greatest heavyweight fighters.

It was only recently that ‘Bones’ had revealed that he would be back to the octagon in September. While he wanted to fight much earlier, Jones was willing to wait for Miocic to be at his absolute best during their upcoming fight.

However, there seems to be a possibility that Jones and Miocic may fight in July. UFC President Dana White recently appeared on ‘The Pivot Podcast’ on YouTube. While greeting all the members, the blackboards behind them featured all upcoming fights along with their dates.

It so happened that Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic was listed under July 30. As per the information seen in the video, it is likely to take place on UFC 277. Also, it has a belt sticker next to it, seemingly implying that it could be for the interim title (as Francis Ngannou is the undisputed champion)

While the news is, of course, not official, fans would surely be elated to see Jones and ‘Stone Cold’ fight much earlier than expected. It would thus be interesting to see if they face off in July or in September.
