Demetrious Johnson was pitted against his rival, Adriano Moraes at ONE Fight Night 10. The duo fought each other for the third and probably the final time. Nevertheless, the ‘Mighty Mouse’ rose victorious against the former champion. Without a doubt, Johnson seemed to seek redemption for the lone stoppage in his MMA career at the hands of Moraes the first time they fought. The fight is considered to be one of the top-tier rubber matches.

Prior to the fight against Moraes, the fighter hinted at his retirement. Even though he was indecisive about his retirement plans, he seemed hesitant about continuing to fight for two more years. However, after successfully defending his flyweight title, the mixed martial artist went ahead to have a face-off against Kairat Akhmetov

The video of the face-off was recently shared by ONE Champion on Instagram. The caption read, “A challenger appears. What are your thoughts on former king Kairat Akhmetov taking on Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight crown?  @mighty @kairat__akhmetov.”

Prior to the third fight against Moraes, Johnson told ‘The Score’ that he would not fight for two more years. He claimed that it was not happening. He hinted, “It could be [his last fight]. You never know.”

Moreover, the fighter admitted that he wasn’t fighting to prove anything anymore. Instead, it was money that motivated him. He said, “I talk to my close friends who don’t do mixed martial arts and they’re like, ‘What else are you trying to prove?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m trying to get this money, I’m trying to get this bag.’”
