UFC 262 will go down this weekend with Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler battling it out for the vacant lightweight title in the main event of the pay-per-view. Ahead of the highly anticipated event, both fighters engaged in a heated face-off during the pre-fight press conference.
Co-main event spot holders, Tony Ferguson and Beneil Dariush accompanied Oliveira and Chandler. Although both halves of the main event were respectful to each other during the press conference, they brought the heat during the face-offs. Both ‘Iron’ and ‘Do Bronx’ had the fire in their eyes.

Chandler will make his second UFC appearance this weekend. The former multi-time Bellator lightweight champion had a stellar debut at UFC 257. Now, he aims to officially become the undisputed no.1 lightweight on the planet. However, he will have a major roadblock in Oliveira ahead of him.
‘Do Bronx’ has been a UFC fighter since 2010. After years of up and down, he has finally reached the top of the mountain. He is currently on an 8-fight winning streak at the UFC’s lightweight division. A dominating win over ‘El Cucuy‘ in December was enough to secure his position as the most deserving no.1 contender in the division.
The road to a title fight couldn’t have been more different for either man. However, one can argue both are equally deserving. Chandler might not have been a UFC fighter for long, but his body of work over the course of his career has been incredible. So, he certainly belongs at the top of the mountain.

Charles Oliveira vs Michael Chandler: What to expect?
Many believe Chandler’s explosiveness along with his power might be a recipe for disaster for Oliveira. However, ‘Do Bronx‘ has seen it all over the years. And one can expect him to be unfazed by anything ‘Iron‘ has to offer.
The Brazilian is probably the best technician as a grappler in the current UFC roster. And his newly improved stand-up coupled with his basic strength is a scary proposition for any opponent. It remains to be seen if the fight is as intense as the face-off.
