In one such exciting finish, Callum Patterson took on Nathaniel Chiteza in a Muay Thai fight. English fighter, Patterson and his opponent were trading blows when he landed a vicious head kick. His opponent didn’t anticipate or see the kick coming and it sent him crashing to the floor.

Chiteza was out cold and the referee was quick to step in. The kick reminded several fans of a particular head kick in the UFC. The kick was reminiscent of a one Jon Jones kick. The former UFC light heavyweight champion landed a very similar head kick on his long-time rival, Daniel Cormier.

Bones‘ took on DC for the second time at UFC 214. Both men went back and forth throughout the fight. However, in the third round, while backing away, Jones landed a devastating head kick. It was a kick Cormier never saw coming, and that was the beginning of the end. After the kick landed flush, the two-time light heavyweight champion stalked Cormier and finished him.

The fight was for the light heavyweight title. But Jones was stripped of it after he tested for turinabol metabolite.

Jon Jones possibly returning against Stipe Miocic

Jon Jones has been inactive for over two years now. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is one of the greatest fighters of all time. However, he last fought against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February 2020. After the fight, he relinquished his title and decided to move up a division.

A fight has not materialized for him yet, but it might happen soon. Jones in a recent tweet teased a matchup with former two-time UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic. Many consider Miocic as the greatest heavyweight of all time and Jones thinks the same way as well. He took to Twitter and wrote, “The greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight, who wants to see it? I’m game.”

With Francis Ngannou out injured for some time, this is a fight that makes sense. Miocic last fought against Ngannou and dropped the title. This can be a number one contender bout, with the winner taking on the champ when he’s back.
