The final outcome was disappointing for many. However, UFC fighter Nate Diaz managed to steal a bit of the spotlight for himself. The Stockton fighter attended the highly anticipated boxing match and while he was casually walking, he stopped and feinted a punch on a bystander.

The man had drinks in his hands and flinched because of Diaz’s punch. All the beer he was holding spilled in quite a dramatic fashion. However, the security immediately blocked the man’s way and Diaz also was taken ahead. Hence, things did not escalate.

This video immediately went viral on social media. Some people questioned the motive behind the fighter’s action. Some found the video funny, whereas others sympathized with the man.

In a new video on Diaz’s YouTube channel, he shared some moments of 2021 and the flinching incident was also present. However, the angle was from his side. The incident, now famously known as ‘The Flinch’ is one that MMA fans might not forget anytime soon.

Turns out the man who flinched is also an MMA fighter. Carrese Archer came forward to speak about the incident and wasn’t too happy about it.

What’s next for Nate Diaz?

Diaz last fought at UFC 263 against Leon Edwards but unfortunately, lost the bout. Before that, he also lost against Jorge Masvidal. After two back-to-back losses, Nate Diaz still remains one of the best welterweights and several MMA fighters would ideally like to fight him.

He has a loyal fanbase and they would like to see him in some exciting bouts this year. Further, it is said that his UFC contract has been extended. Hence, fans would surely love to see him in the octagon soon.
