The eyeball-attracting fight featured Paul Capaldo take on Chris Vasil on the undercard of Kamchybekov vs Smith. In the third round of the bout, the 24-year-old Capaldo tried to kick his opponent in the abdomen. Vasil deflected it and went for a body kick of his own. Capaldo caught this and in a swift motion, he spun and landed a picture-perfect head kick to the left side of Vasil’s face.

Paul Capaldo didn’t engage in an O’Malley-style walk-off but rushed in to pound his opponent until the referee ended things. The kick was so powerful that the referee knew it was over and he had to rush in to tackle the fighter with the red trunks to hand him the win. The finish came in at 21 seconds of the round and Capaldo earned his third stoppage win.

On the back of such a performance, it may be tough to deny the youngster a shot at the promotion’s vacant featherweight title. He could easily get the shot at the CFFC championship as he has all but earned the first title fight of his career.
