WATCH: Israel Adesanya Mocks His Haters During the Official Weigh-Ins of UFC 271

Israel Adesanya, the undisputed UFC middleweight champion, will return to the UFC octagon this weekend for his fourth title defense. He will take on his old nemesis, Robert Whittaker, in a title rematch inside the UFC cage.

Both the middleweight combatants have brushed their shoulders before in 2019, where Izzy secured a second-round knockout win over “The Reaper” at UFC 243. He will now look to do the same on 13the February at UFC 271. This fight will headline the pay-per-view inside the Toyota Center, in Houston, Texas.

Ahead of the fight, both the fighters appeared for the official weigh-ins today. The title challenger and the middleweight champion both made the scale at 184lbs. However, after the weight announcement, ‘The Last Stylebender’ played with his right nipple to mock his haters.

Earlier in 2020, ‘The Last Stylebender’ delivered one of the best performances of his career. And knocked out Paulo Costa at UFC 253. However, his performance was not the only thing that got the attention of the fight fans.

Many pointed out the visible bulge on Adesanya’s right pectoral muscle. Pointing to this, several fans speculated the champion was suffering from gynecomastia. A condition in which men’s breasts become larger or may grow unevenly.

This usually happens because of a hormonal imbalance in a male body. Hence, many accused the UFC middleweight champion of using performance enhancement drugs like T-ball, which might have caused the bulge in his right pectoral muscle.

However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ clarified the situation in several of his interviews and also shut down all the claims.

‘The Last Stylebender’ has previously outworked ‘The Reaper’ inside the UFC cage. However, since his defeat in 2019, the Australian fighter has gradually improved his game.

‘The Reaper’, in his quest to earn another title shot, has defeated some of the best fighters in the division. He is currently on a three-fight undefeated streak. Meanwhile, Izzy has recently bounced back into the win column after his first UFC loss last year.

Although Izzy was 1-1 last year, his loss came in the light heavyweight division and not in the middleweight. Also, Adesanya is undefeated in the 185lbs roster. Moreover, throughout his run in the promotion, the fighter has looked better than ever.

‘The Last Stylebender’, after every fight, has improved his skill set and defeated most of the fighters from the division. Hence, it won’t be a walk in the park for Whittaker to defeat the champion. However, not much can be said before the fighters enter the UFC cage.
