The 54-year-old Rogan is one of the most prominent names in the world of MMA today. He is the voice of major UFC events. And although Rogan doesn’t compete in UFC, he has had his fair share of MMA during his early years.

Rogan, during his young days, was a kickboxer and had an amateur record of 2-1. Moreover, he is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, and Karate. However, he stopped competing because of an injury. But despite his age, the JRE host trains regularly and is well equipped with combat knowledge.

That said, no normal person would want to get in a single combat situation with Rogan. However, in 2004, an unknown guy outside the Comedy Store back in Los Angeles wasn’t fortunate enough.

Rogan and the angry guy got into an argument while discussing immigration. “You are a little crazy, you know that. That’s the problem with talking to you. You are not really rational. You wanna be right about all these things,” Rogan said.

“You think about these things all the time and you are not listening to anybody’s opinion. You just wanna be right,” he added. As the conversation got heated, the guy touched Rogan’s shoulder, which agitated him.

“Touch me again and I am gonna choke you out on camera,” Rogan warned. However, the guy didn’t listen. Hence, the JRE podcast put him in a guillotine choke until he tapped out.
