Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most talented fighters in the history of the MMA. The Dagestani achieved a great deal during his iconic career. He dominated every opponent he faced and left the octagon with a record of 29 wins and no defeats.

His father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, was the man behind the success of Khabib.

The Russian retired from fighting after his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, tragically passed away. He died due to health complications he had after contracting COVID-19.

Despite many efforts from multiple people, the former champion refuses to return to the UFC. Khabib made a promise to his mother to not go back to fighting after the death of his father in 2020.

He not only trained Khabib to be world champion, but he also coached many other Dagestani fighters. Zubaira Tukhugov and Islam Makhachev also trained under Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Khabib Nurmagomedov: Life after retirement

After he announced his retirement at UFC 254, fight fans have labeled Khabib as one of the greatest to have ever competed in the promotion. Even though he doesn’t fight in the UFC, he is still involved in fights as he has stepped into the shoes of his father as an MMA coach.

He has also become a successful entrepreneur and has started multiple business ventures. Khabib started his own fighting promotion, Eagle FC, which just had its debut event in the USA. Eagle FC has signed renowned fighters such as Rashad Evans and Kevin Lee.

He also owns a mobile network company, Eagle Mobile, a fitness brand, a clothing brand, and a lot more. Khabib is actively engaging in interviews and being involved with the media. He has created a brand out of himself, from the fame he received from fighting.
