A quick rise in the ranks from Chimaev met with an unfortunate situation that saw ‘Borz‘ contemplate retirement.
However, in the tough times, UFC President Dana White came in support of Chimaev. But another interesting name that talked Chimaev to continue his MMA career was the Chechen leader himself.

Ramzan Kadyrov, who once gifted Khabib Nurmagomedov an expensive Mercedes-Benz W222 worth $250K, has often shown an interest in combat sports. Since the Chechen star appeared as a monster inside the Octagon, the leader advised Chimaev to reconsider his thought. Chimaev obliged Kadyrov’s suggestion and deleted the post where he had hinted at retirement.

The Chechen leader had invited Chimaev to Chechnya. During their time together, Ramzan Kadyrov showed his fighting skills to ‘Borz’ as he submitted him in a friendly tussle.

The friendly sparring saw the Chechen leader with the back control, holding a body lock and trying to take down Chimaev, whereas Chimaev was trying to break the body lock. Suddenly, Kadyrov attacked the neck of Chimaev and ‘Borz’ was quick to tap.

With Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards squaring off against each other down the line, ‘Chaos‘ remains the biggest and toughest challenge for ‘Borz’. Thus, it would be interesting to see whether Dana White keeps the same ton and books Covington vs Chimaev or if he looks to take time with the young welterweight.
