Khamzat Chimaev has been itching for a fight lately. Although the ‘Chechen Wolf’ exchanged a few callouts, no fight has yet been confirmed for the fighter. Nevertheless, this has not obstructed the mixed martial artist’s plans to dominate. He has kept on training and attended a couple of training camps. However, the fact that the ‘Borz’ had trained with Ramzan Kadyrov’s son greatly upset the MMA fans.

His ties with the Chechen leaders are strong. The welterweight fighter considered him to be a brother of his. His association with the Tiger Muay Thai gym is also well-known in the world of MMA. Recently, Chimaev took to Instagram and shared some pictures together with Petr Yan and Kadyrov’s son, seemingly declaring the fighter’s relationship with the two.

The ‘Wolf’ previously trained at the Tiger Muay Thai gym for his bout against Gilbert Burns. However, the fighter returned once again to hone his skills and prepare for his next fight.

Khamzat Chimaev shares photographs of training with Petr Yan and Ramzan Kadyrov’s son

Hailing from Chechnya, Chimaev has close associations with the leader, Ramzan Kadyrov. The UFC warrior has even coached the dictator’s son, Ali Kadyrov. Although the welterweight contender usually receives backlash from the fans for his connections with Kadyrov, he has never given it up and kept his relationships pretty open to the public.

Recently, the fighter commenced preparations and began training at Tiger Muay Thai. Kadyrov’s sons and even ‘No Mercy’ are known to have been training at this gym. Chimaev shared a few tidbits where he was seen training with Ali Kadyrov on his Instagram stories. Furthermore, the pictures also had one where Kadyrov’s son and Yan were kneeling together on the mat. He introduced a few other warriors in the stories.

Undeniably, the fighter is working his way toward the top with his enhanced training schedule. Although he hasn’t got any confirmed fight, his focus on honing his skills and enlarging his arsenal is indeed commendable. 

Khamzat Chimaev’s association with Ramzan Kadyrov

Chimaev’s close connection with the Chechen Dictator has been the talk of the town quite frequently. Recently, the ‘Wolf’ was seen sparring with boxing gloves on with the Chechen President. The UFC fighter was taken down multiple times by the Dictator in the disclosed video.

The tweet that shared the video captioned, “Khamzat Chimaev vs Kadyrov (Chechen president). I died the simulation, he knows a takedown and his family is 6 feet under.” Without a doubt, the fans were not happy with it. Furthermore, Chimaev’s relationship with the government seemingly got stronger.
