

The UFC weigh-in show before the promotion’s numbered PPV event has been gathering a lot of attention. The show features former UFC dual champion Daniel Cormier, UFC vet Din Thomas, UFC analyst, commentator, back-stage interviewer & former Invicta athlete, Laura Sanko, with the main host, other crew members, and guest fighters.

Sanko, during one show where Cormier sat out, taunted the former double champ for his absence. Also, since she won the title, she had a message for her counterpart.

The Kansas City athlete said, “DC, look at this, all right. It’s back where it belongs. You weren’t even here to defend your belt. You know where it went. It went to the real home… The weigh-in show champion.”
“There’s no way you could do what I just did. The fact that you are not here speaks volumes about the character, about how much you love this; didn’t even come to defend this. It’s mine,” concluded ‘Weigh-in show champion’.
What is the UFC ‘Weigh-in show championship’?
Throughout the show, these names compete in various tasks. While all of them are already competitive and want to win at all costs, to give them motivation, Cormier’s UFC title, which is dubbed the ‘Weigh-in show championship’, is handed out to the winner at the end of the show.
‘DC’ started defending the title on the show, while analysts Laura Sanko and Dean Thomas were looking to get the coveted title away from the soon-to-be UFC Hall of Famer Cormier.

Though the Olympian uses his veteran moves to get the tasks done and often thinks outside the box to keep his championship, ‘Fancy’ has had Cormier’s number a few times.
The veteran Cormier and undefeated martial artist, 1-0, Sanko always have fun banter during the competition which has become the strong point of the show. Also, it gives the fans a light time during the tense weigh-ins.

The last weigh-ins show, UFC 275, saw another UFC Hall of Fame Michael Bisping join the show. Also, UFC commentator, John Gooden, was on the deck.

Laura Sanko won the coveted title in the presence of two former UFC champions and legends of the sport. She defeated Cormier, Bisping, and Gooden in a dominating performance and won the title once again. ‘DC’ wrapped the belt around Sanko’s waist.
