Conor McGregor’s horrific injury is still under recovery, which he suffered during his last fight, back in 2021. It has been more than a year since McGregor had his shin damaged. Although still healing, the ‘Notorious’ doesn’t fail to tease the fans with hints of him coming back to the Octagon.

Conor McGregor has trained and bulked up. His injury in the fight against Dustin Poirier was seemingly distant. He released a video on his Instagram where he was sparring with a partner. ‘Notorious’ captioned, “Round 3. Fresh Mi Wadi’s. Recovery rate insane. It’s not that I’m the best. It’s that I’m at it the longest and the mostest as well as i’m the best.”

Fans reacted to the clip, showing their anticipation of McGregor’s re-entry into the Octagon. They made sure to give ‘Notorious’ some notorious boost.

Conor McGregor’s comeback to the Octagon

McGregor is expected to return to fight in the welterweight division in the early sessions of 2023. He is expected to go against Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje. Apart from Gaethje, rumors of Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather having a rematch with Conor McGregor are also flying around. Mayweather said, “Then I have another exhibition in Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023.” It is rumored that contracts have been made for a boxing match and a bout in the Octagon, for the Mayweather vs. McGregor rematch. The contest is rumored to go for $1.5 billion USD.

McGregor’s comeback is set to bring on a heavy rise in the adrenaline levels of the fans. With much anticipation, the wait continues, with sparring trailers to soothe the excitement.
