‘Demolidor’ competes in the welterweight division of the UFC. He started his MMA journey in 2011 and, after going 22-9-2, signed with the UFC. He started his UFC career impressively. The Brazilian put on a show against Danny Roberts and did all his tricks before landing a brutal flying knee. He followed that up with a strong straight right that sent his opponent crashing to the floor.

He lost his next two fights and looked to be in a tough spot, but has bounced back since then. Pereira is currently on a three-fight win streak and is coming off a win against one of the toughest competitors in the UFC in Niko Price. Both men met at UFC 264, and ‘The Hybrid’ lost the fight via a unanimous decision.

Before his fight against Price, Pereira was working on a project, showing his daily life in Las Vegas. In a recent tweet, he posted the third video of the project. He wrote, “Hey guys, this is the third video of the project we put together to show my daily life here in Las Vegas before UFC 264! Hope you like it.”

The Brazilian was preparing to enter the octagon on January 15, however, his opponent pulled out.

UFC looking for an opponent for Michel Pereira

The fan-favorite Brazilian, Pereira, was ready to go to battle at UFC Vegas 46. Unfortunately, his scheduled opponent, Muslim Salikhov, backed out of the fight. No reason was given for his backing out. MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz broke the news. He said, “Michel Pereira needs a new opponent for Jan. 15 as Muslim Salikhov has withdrawn from the UFC Vegas 46 co-main event, I’m told.”

The UFC is actively looking for an opponent for Pereira, and it will be interesting to see who steps up to the challenge. It will be a short notice fight, and ‘Demolidor’ can be a tricky fighter, even with a full-fight camp.
