Paddy Pimblett is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. Talented, eccentric, confident, and accent drove, the Liverpool-born mixed martial artist made headlines with his promotional debut.

One of the most significant parts about Pimblett’s aura is that it reminds us of another personality in the UFC. And the apparent answer is Conor McGregor. Pimblett, just like McGregor, has a penchant for talking trash at other fighters to drive his position in the fight game.

Pimblett was back in the news ahead of his second UFC bout as he found himself in a scuffle against Ilia Topuria. The conflict began backstage at the host hotel when punches were thrown around. However, reports state that no one was hurt.

Why did Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria collide?

Although it seems out of the blue due to their lack of media notoriety, this scuffle wasn’t something out of nowhere. It all began when Paddy Pimblett had tweeted something offensive towards Georgians.

This set it off within the Georgian, who hadn’t forgotten about it even after ‘The Baddy’ had deleted his tweet and apologized online for it.

It was on sight for Ilia Topuria when he saw Pimblett. Although the recorded video began from Pimblett throwing something at Topuria, which led to the Georgian retaliating with a punch; Topuria seems to have confronted the Englishman, which led to the conflict.

Topuria’s teammates quickly broke up the scuffle and dragged him away. The brawl was short, and no one was harmed.

The perfect layup for a matchup

Paddy Pimblett versus Ilia Topuria seems like the perfect matchup for both fighters. As ‘The Baddy’ walks around in a weight class slightly lesser than welterweight, it would make more sense for Topuria to rack up the pounds as Pimblett would have to cut already to get to lightweight.

But it is the fight game, after all, and conflicts can sometimes never change into anything more than a Twitter back and forth. With that being said, Pimblett fights next during UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall against Rodrigo Vargas on March 19.
