After the fight, the fighter gave a quick interview to ‘fullsend_mma’ where she explained the reason for her black eye. “I will decide to give you some more details on Tuesday I was assaulted by another fighter which I’m not going to say their name because they are irrelevant at this point but I just want to say that I was able to fight regardless of what you did and I showed that I have big ovaries and showed that I am ready to fight whenever” Said Perez.

Despite Perez stating that she would not be naming the other person who sucker punched her there is speculation from various sources who might have done this to her.

There have not been any official announcements from the fighter as well as UFC. however, the report ͏points fingers at fellow UFC fighter Joselyne Edwards as the alleged assailant. It also mentions ͏that in response, a member of Pérez’s coaching staff reportedly stepped in, delivering a punch and chokehold to subdue the situation.
