Ailin Perez defeated Lucie Pudilova in UFC Vegas 82. Perez proved her dominance as she entered the octagon, stretched the match to the final round, and won the bout by unanimous decision. Perez’s performance was anticipated to take the spotlight, but instead, another element stole the show.

Interestingly the fighter was fighting with an injured black eye and it surprised the combat community. The fighter’s prominent black eye immediately drew everyone’s attention as soon as she took the stage. Now, the fighter has provided an explanation for her condition.

Throughout the fight week, the engaging Argentine fighter displayed a noticeable black eye and a healing cut on her face. Although the origin of these injuries remained undisclosed, recent revelations have introduced disconcerting allegations into the conversation.

After the fight, the fighter gave a quick interview to ‘fullsend_mma’ where she explained the reason for her black eye. “I will decide to give you some more details on Tuesday I was assaulted by another fighter which I’m not going to say their name because they are irrelevant at this point but I just want to say that I was able to fight regardless of what you did and I showed that I have big ovaries and showed that I am ready to fight whenever” Said Perez.

Despite Perez stating that she would not be naming the other person who sucker punched her there is speculation from various sources who might have done this to her.

Who sucker punched Ailin Perez?

There have not been any official announcements from the fighter as well as UFC. however, the report ͏points fingers at fellow UFC fighter Joselyne Edwards as the alleged assailant. It also mentions ͏that in response, a member of Pérez’s coaching staff reportedly stepped in, delivering a punch and chokehold to subdue the situation.

Prominent MMA reporter and storyteller Alex Behunin also confirmed that it was Edwards who beat her up. The situation has simmered down as of now, but it could turn into a nasty fight. Nonetheless, we can only wait for further developments.
