Watch: Russian Fan Channels His Inner Khabib Nurmagomedov as He Mocks “Chicken” Conor McGregor in a Resurfaced Video

Conor McGregor is arguably the biggest star in the history of the UFC. He has his fair share of fans in the MMA community. However, he also has other fans who dislike him. Likewise, he once met a fan at a Nando’s joint where a fan greeted him while also calling ‘The Notorious’ a “chicken”.

Conor McGregor started his UFC career in 2013. Little did people know that he would go on to become one of the biggest stars in the promotion, let alone a household name. He established himself as a top draw, becoming the UFC’s first-ever simultaneous two-division champion. But he also made a few enemies among the MMA community with his trash talk and antics outside the Octagon.

‘The Notorious’ had one of the most heated and engaging rivalries with Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018. Their rivalry was engulfed with controversies after McGregor attacked ‘The Eagle’s team bus and injured a few fighters. However, one of the most memorable moments from their rivalry stemmed from Nurmagomedov calling him a “chicken.”

Following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s win at UFC 205 over Eddie Alvarez, the 29-0 Hall of Famer had some rough words for McGregor. He called him out while claiming that he’d be the easiest opponent to defeat. He also called him a “chicken” and that has become a special memory for the fans. Similarly, once a fan bumped into Conor McGregor and recalled Nurmagomedov’s quote.

Conor McGregor visited a Nando’s outlet in the UK when a Russian MMA fan noticed him sitting at a different table. The fan was there with his friends when he started recording ‘The Notorious’ on his phone. He quoted Nurmagomedov and said, “Look at this bullsh*t guy. Number 1 bullsh*t.” It was apparent that the Russian fan did not have much love for Conor McGregor.

However, the funniest part of the video came when McGregor noticed him recording and waved to say hello. The fan quickly responded to the former double champion. However, he couldn’t stop but take a dig at the Irishman. The Russian fan blurted, “Hey Conor… Conor McChicken.” McGregor didn’t hear what he was saying since the food court was crowded. But it certainly made for a hilarious moment.

Fans like to have an interaction with their favorite fighters. However, they like it even more when they’re able to take jibes at them, which is rampant on social media. But the Russian fan meant no harm and had no malice for Conor McGregor and it was just a bit of banter. What do you think?
