Before the showdown tomorrow, both fighters successfully made weight. The weigh-in result for the main event: Jack Hermansson (185.5) and Sean Strickland (185.5).

During the final faceoff, the ‘Tarzan’ had an interesting deal for the ‘Joker’.

Strickland sarcastically took a dig at the ground heavy game of Hermansson and asked, “You want me to pull guard? Would that be a better pose?”

Hermansson took it lightly and burst into laughter, and both fighters squared off.

Both fighters are polar opposite in terms of personality. On the one hand, Hermansson is a low-key guy who doesn’t say much, on the other, Strickland has quite the controversial takes. Strickland’s Twitter feed suggests he has very unconventional takes.

Both the fighters could earn a title shot with a spectacular win and find themselves against the middleweight champion. In the meantime, the Last Stylebender, will face his fellow OceanĂ­a fighter, the Reaper, in a rematch at UFC 271 for the undisputed MW championship.

Strickland has already expressed his desire to fight Adesanya before. ‘The Tarzan’ even had a message for the ‘Last Stylebender’, he advised Adesanya to hit the right cycle before the fight. Strickland was referring to the swollen pectoral muscle of Adesanya, seen during UFC 253.

When asked about him fighting Adesanya in the future. ‘The Tarzan’ said, “Make sure to cycle off though, I don’t want to bring you a bra if you don’t hit the right cycle”.

Strickland elaborated, “Again, Izzy’s a great fighter. He comes from kickboxing. Have you ever seen a fighter with gyno for any other reason than that? Honestly, have you?”

Whereas, Hermansson, during the media day, when asked if he would get a title shot with the win, said, “Yeah, If I do a good enough performance, you know, and then it depends on the other contenders; Brunson, Cannonier, how will they perform? Are they gonna do an exciting fight or not?”

It would be interesting to see who gets to stay in the title contention this Saturday. With the win, the winner will solidify himself in a prominent position.
