Jon Jones is inarguably one of the greatest talents the UFC has ever seen. The promotion’s youngest champion dominated a stacked light heavyweight division and beat legends after legends to establish an unbelievable title defense record. His creative style inside the Octagon was too much for his opponents.

A clip floating on the web shows Snoop Dogg had a valuable, friendly spar with the legendary UFC fighter.

Bones‘ has trained with many stars over the years. Likewise, the pop icon Snoop Dogg has shared clips of his training on numerous occasions. But this collaboration came as a welcome surprise.

Jon Jones showed the musician how to throw an elbow. The former light heavyweight fighter has lethal elbows, that, he uses in close-range striking and ground-and-pound during his UFC bouts.

The spinning back elbow, especially, is such an important arsenal for Jones that in the fourth round against Alexander Gustafsson, it shifted the momentum towards ‘Bones’ in the Hall of Fame UFC bout.

The Albuquerque native taught Snoop Dogg the same technique he used in his first contest against ‘The Mauler’ when he was perhaps down for the first time in a UFC title bout.

It all started with Jones and the pop star squaring against each other like they were about to fight. While Snoop Dogg was trying to imitate some fancy position, Jones came with a slow spinning elbow, which had no intention of landing on Snoop Dogg. The latter saw the strike and shouted, “Oh, that elbow, that bow, that’s that bow…”

How Jon Jones Recorded the Only Loss in His MMA Career

Thereafter, Jones taught how one could go low for a fake single leg that the opponent would defend and then land a spinning elbow to shock them.

The pop star flexed the technique in his own unique way to conclude the video.

Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson 1 or Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka?

The light heavyweight division has a new champion after Jiri Prochazka submitted Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 275.

The bout was a back-and-forth battle where both combatants showed the heart of a warrior and a will to win. Both fighters were hurt multiple times and appeared tired occasionally, yet there was no quit in either of them.

With 28 seconds left in the bout where ‘The Brazilian Pit Bull‘ was ahead on the scorecard, when Prochazka, a Muay Thai, and kickboxing specialist, found a rear-naked choke.

Though Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson was a Hall of Fame fight, this would also go down the same path. And the definitive conclusion to the bout perhaps gives it an edge against the first ‘Bones’ vs. ‘The Mauler’.
