UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, not only analyzes fights but is a well-trained martial artist as well. The American podcaster is a four-time Massachusetts Taekwondo champion. Besides, after starting as a striker, he leaned towards jiujitsu and received his BJJ black belt under 10th planet jiujitsu instructor and friend, Eddie Bravo.

There’s a rare video on the internet of 52-year-old jiujitsu coach & Rogan; In the old clip, the UFC announcer answered a challenge from a Myspace user.

The video starts with Rogan and Bravo, with a few other members at Bravo’s gym, having a conversation about a guy who challenged Rogan to a grappling contest. In what is a very hard-to-hear video, Bravo appeared to ask Rogan how many times he tapped his Myspace opponent.

Rogan said, “3 times he quit.” Moments later, Rogan added, “I was gonna triangle the f*** out of him if he was to keep going. It was death… death was stored for him. I would’ve tapped him at least 20 times. I attacked that motherf***er.”

The frame then cut out to Rogan, grappling with someone. The JRE host dominated his opponent and choked them multiple times. Thereafter, Eddie Bravo, in the background, described who the opponent was. He said, “This guy challenged Joe Rogan on Myspace. That’s what happens when you challenge Joe Rogan.”

The former Fear Factor host has been a pioneer in MMA for breaking down fights and educating the general audience about the techniques of ground games. Thus, challenging him for a grappling contest or any other form of combat doesn’t seem like the best idea. Yet, a few have done that in the past.

During a Q/A session in Germany before UFC 122, UFC President Dana White and announcer Rogan were talking to the fans. While answering the questions, a fan had quite an interaction with the veteran UFC commentator.

“Can I wrestle Joe Rogan and if I win, you come to Sweden?” asked a fan. The former Fear Factor host was up for the task but wanted to know what was at stake for his win. Rogan asked, “What happens if you tap?”

The fan’s response to Rogan’s question impressed him, so he let the fan win the interaction. “I’ll blackout before I tap out b**ch,” was the fan’s response to Rogan for saying he would tap him. UFC President Dana White, who was sharing the stage with the announcer, was laughing during the sequence.
