Dana White is the most powerful man in the biggest MMA promotion in the world. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that people at UFC fear locking horns with him. There have been many incidents in the past where fighters got into a feud with White. One such entity recently fought the headliner fight at UFC 272, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington.

Back in 2019, when UFC pitted Tyron Woodley against Kamaru Usman for the title, Covington thought he was “robbed out” of his title shot. As a result, Covington confronted Dana White at a casino and recorded himself speaking along the way. And funnily enough, he labeled Dana White “Uncle Fester.”

This might not have gone down well for ‘Chaos’, but the UFC fans couldn’t help but draw the similarity between White and Uncle Fester.

Uncle Fester is a character from the fictional ‘Addams Family’. The iconic role is characterized by a bald-headed, barrel-shaped man with big, dark eyes and a spooky smiling face. Yes, that is what Colby Covington called Dana White. And ever since, it has become an unofficial nickname for the UFC president.

Later on, when ‘Chaos’ did indeed get the title shot, he made sure he rubbed it in White’s face. He barred White from wrapping the belt around his waist if he won the fight.

When asked about the remark at a presser, White resorted to calling him a “big-mouthed f***ing idiot.”

Dana White slams Colby Covington

White is most likely immune to Covington’s behavior by now, as both have come a long way and ‘Chaos’ is still one of UFC’s prime cash cows. But the way Covington built up his fight against friend-turned-foe Jorge Masvidal didn’t sit right with White.

White usually refrains from keeping any of his fighters from expressing their opinions on or off-camera. However, this time, he made sure he got the message across to Colby Covington during the post-fight interview.

When a journalist quizzed White on using previously hurling bad words at Covington, he responded saying, “He’s an a**hole. Would anybody disagree with that? Even he [Covington] would probably agree with that.

In a follow-up question on Jorge’s comments regarding Covington crossing the line, White replied, “I agree with that too It’s called man code. You either have it or you don’t.”
