

Messing with Conor McGregor on the microphone is not a good plan for any fighter, but it’s even worse for the reporters.
UFC superstar Conor McGregor was once scheduled to fight at the same event as Jon Jones. In 2014, at UFC 178 PPV, undefeated Daniel Cormier was going against Jon Jones, while McGregor vs Poirier was set for the main card.

Though the Jones-Cormier bout was pushed to a later date, McGregor-Poirier stayed on the main card of UFC 178.
Meanwhile, during UFC 178 Q&A Media Day- LA, all four athletes joined Megan Olivia for some Q/A.
McGregor was at his absolute best on the mic. Also, Jones and Cormier were coming off an altercation. Though with all the drama around McGregor-Poirier and Jones-Cormier, a reporter took the toll from the Irish superstar and ‘Bones’.
The reporter asked the Irishman, “What do you think about the way I’m dressed?”
McGregor answered, “You look alright. If I’m being perfectly honest, The green shirt with the gray suit, it’s a weird kind of combination.”
Jones interrupted and said, “Get ’em… Hey, you asked. Don’t do that again. You need to burn that s**t right now.”
McGregor reiterated, “Does it not look weird, the gray suit with the green shirt?”
“It’s pitiful,” Jones said. “Exactly, it’s weird,” agreed McGregor.
“It’s terrible. Who did, was that your idea?” asked Jones. “It was my wife.” answered the reporter.

Jones teased the reporter and said, “And you sat in the front row with that bulls**t.”
Seeing Jones and McGregor agreeing with each other and having fun with the reporter was great to see and was the highlight of the presser.

Conor McGregor had a definitive performance against Dustin Poirier at UFC 178
At the time, ‘The Notorious’ was demolishing the competition in the featherweight division. However, Poirier was considered the toughest test of the Irishman’s career. But with mental warfare before the fight, Poirier looked too aggressive in the fight and paid the ultimate price.

During the fight, McGregor appeared as a sniper and caught Poirier with a perfect shot. Hence, McGregor confirmed he was not just a brash talker and silenced the critics with an early finish over ‘The Diamond’.
