Rogan’s life has taken him in different directions but his love for comedy has always remained. Even today, Rogan loves to be in the presence of comedians and that is understandable, given that he started his career with comedy. Former UFC fighter Jake Shields, who is Nate Diaz‘s teammate, recently spoke about Rogan’s new comedy club and spoke about his dedication to comedy.

Jake Shields left impressed with Joe Rogan and his new comedy club

Jake Shields was recently interviewed by Helen Yee Sports for her YouTube channel where the former UFC Welterweight fighter was seen talking about a number of things. While in conversation, he started talking about Joe Rogan’s new comedy club and spoke about his visit there, in detail. “Stopped by and checked out Joe Rogan’s new comedy club, which is, uh, super cool club you built. I’m not like a, you know, big comedy guy. Well, I do enjoy comedy but it was cool.“. Apparently, he was on his way back from a training camp with some of the best BJJ names in the world.

Everyone knows that Joe Rogan is a dedicated and disciplined man but Jake Shields’ description of Rogan’s work ethic was astounding. “I got to see… he has this big main room and then right after, I went and walked, you know, the security brought me to check out the small room. And Joe went straight from his set of where he – you know, where he was headlining, right to the small room where he’s practicing material. So it was cool to see how the comics write, cause Joe just went to headlining a Polish set and then he went straight back to the small room where he’s just messing around, goofing off like working on new material.

Hi, I am Arghyadeep, a UFC Writer at EssentiallySports. Being brought up alongside two brothers who were avid WWE fans, I had no option but to watch alongside them and sometimes even partake in their ‘re-enactments’. However, I found myself gravitating towards combat sports soon after. Whilst WWE (then known as WWF) was my introduction to combat sports, I stumbled upon something that interested me even more back in 2011, when I witnessed my favorite UFC fighter Jon Jones battle it out with Rampage Jackson. Besides being a UFC fan, I am also a professional singer. I go on tours and I perform all across the country as well. Music and UFC go hand-in-hand for me and I hope that someday, I can attend a UFC event somewhere and cover that event live. If you want to say hello…
