“Wayyy More Entertaining and Gifted Wrestler Than Rousey”: Fans Thrilled as UFC GOAT Amanda Nunes Teases to Follow Ronda Rousey’s Footsteps Into WWE

Combat sports have always been successful at enthralling people. Be it the UFC or the WWE, fans have, year after year, flocked to the venues to show support for their favorite fighters and wrestlers. Naturally, athletes jumping ship from UFC to WWE or vice-versa, is not uncommon.

Former UFC Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey transitioned to WWE in 2018 and achieved a great amount of success. Shayna Baszler was another UFC fighter who signed on to WWE back in 2015. Following their footsteps closely is current UFC women’s champion Amanda Nunes who has shared her thoughts on signing a contract with WWE.

Amanda Nunes is a decorated fighter. She has two championship titles – the Featherweight title and the Bantamweight title. After having accomplished more than what she set out to accomplish in the promotion, Nunes is thinking about moving to the WWE with a better contract.

‘WMMA Rankings’ shared a post declaring that the UFC champion is open to moving to WWE after her title defense in UFC. The fans, having divided opinions, filled the comment section with their ideas and thoughts. “LOL YESSSSS PLEASE,” said a fan while another commented, “Do it. She’s on her way out. Keep the money coming in. Plus she has a kid now as well.

Other supporters also commented saying things like, “I can see her being a wayyy more entertaining and gifted wrestler than rousey and If that intrigues her why not…but all I ask is she pours it all out in this next fight.,” and “Nunes will retire & switch to WWE“. 

However, not all were convinced. Comments like, “Shes not gonna be able to bump like a pro and she can’t cut a promo. And I’m not interested in watching her ragdoll other people around and never taking any proper bumps.” “Almost ready to bet against Nunes this weekend. Between this article and the contentment she shows for her family life in the “Embedded” series, it just seems she’s just not into fighting anymore,” and “No thanks..her promo game is already wack af.” A fan, skeptical and apprehensive, commented, “Please no.”

Fans watched with bated breath as Amanda Nunes dominated two divisions in the UFC. Now, they are excited to see her move to WWE and conquer that universe. However, for fans of UFC and WWE, this hits close to home. Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey made her move back in 2018 and became the women’s tag-team champion. It proved to be a lucrative decision for her and a smart one as well. Nunes seems to be seriously considering following her contemporary’s footsteps. Having two former UFC champions on the same roster will surely give the fans some extremely interesting matches, storylines, and crossovers.

However, Nunes has an important UFC fight coming up. It will be exciting to see her take on Irene Aldana at the UFC 289 main event, scheduled for 11 June. As far as the WWE contract is concerned, there is no concrete news of the same. But one can be sure that no matter where she goes, Amanda Nunes is going to bring the heat.
