Khabib Nurmagomedov is a UFC legend best known for his undefeated resume and his brutal feud with Conor McGregor. Having moved away from fighting, he has become a promoter and has a company called Eagle Fighting Championship. In a press conference for another event, reporters were curious if ‘The Eagle’ would be keen on working with UFC fighters.

Nurmagomedov revealed that his MMA promotion isn’t shutting the door to any possibility. ‘The Eagle‘ said, “Anything is possible. We are open to everything. In two days, when we will be holding another press conference, we will be ready to announce the signing of Kevin Lee. We are close to finalizing the deal, but nothing is official yet. Why not? These guys have built themselves throughout their careers. They have 10 fights in the UFC, are former champions of the UFC.”

After his early retirement, the UFC superstar has ventured into entrepreneurship and has found and invested in many businesses in a multitude of genres. One of these is the aforementioned MMA promotion known as Eagle Fighting Championship.

With this statement, as well as the decision to rope in Rashad Evans and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, it is clear as crystal that the Dagestani is expanding his business in the North American space.

Kevin Lee ousted from UFC

The UFC recently announced that it was letting go of welterweight fighter Kevin Lee. ‘The Motown Phenom’ debuted at UFC in 2014 and participated in 18 fights (11-7) for the promotion.

Lee fought with many UFC legends and even managed to beat some of them. Midway through his career switched to the lightweight division and successfully got himself an interim lightweight championship fight against Tony Ferguson. He lost that bout and wasn’t the same again, going 2-4 in his next six outings. He only managed to beat Edson Barboza and Gregor Gillespie after his loss to ‘El Cucuy’ 2017.
