Bryce Mitchell is one of the most promising fighters in the UFC’s Featherweight division right now. The American mixed martial artist stands 11th in the UFC featherweight rankings, as of 7th March 2022. However, his rank is likely to go up after his dominant win over Edson Barboza at UFC 272, last weekend.

He said,” I think it would be quite an honor (being compared to Khabib). I think Khabib would love it on my farm… We can wrestle goats and cows and sh*t!”

Just like the Dagestani fighter, Mitchell is also undefeated inside the octagon. His dominant wrestling skills are also comparable to The Eagle’s in his earlier days.

‘Thug Nasty’ is turning into an absolute fan favorite as the days go by. His extremely thoughtful initiative of donating half of his fight purse to charity was widely appreciated and applauded by numerous fight fans.

What’s next for Bryce Mitchell?

Mitchell was back to his winning ways at UFC 272 after his dominant win over Edson Barboza. We can safely assume that his next fight will be with someone higher in the rankings. Number six ranked featherweight, Josh Emmett would be an ideal opponent for Bryce Mitchell in his next bout.

Emmett is a strong contender for the title. A win against him could set Bryce a step closer to a title shot. Another fight Bryce could get would be the winner of Dan Ige vs. Movsar Evloev on June 6.

Who do you think ‘Thug Nasty’ will face next in his next bout? Will he remain undefeated in the octagon, just like Khabib? Let us know in the comments section below.
