The electrifying bout between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo finally came to an end. The ‘Funkmaster’ became successful in retaining his belt at UFC 288. The back-and-forth bout was a highly close affair that ended in a split decision in favor of Sterling. ‘Triple C’, who came back to the octagon after a hiatus of three long years, initially found it difficult to accept the loss. Soon after the bout, the UFC octagon witnessed a clash between the upcoming opponents, Sean O’Malley and Sterling.

Immediately after ‘The Funkmaster’s hands were raised following the five-round bout, O’Malley came to the stage after UFC commentator Joe Rogan called him up. The two immediately began to call out each other and began to build up their next bout against each other. The UFC boss, Dana White, tried to push them apart, while Rogan wanted to listen to the fighters. However, as the tension inside the stage erupted further, both White and Rogan tried hard to separate the two angry men.
