In the video, Khamzat Chimaev was seen attending an event where a little girl came up to talk to ‘Borz’. She had a picture of him in her hands and appeared to be sad and crying. Whatever she said to the undefeated fighter must have been a really emotional story, as Chimaev was seen wiping off some stray tears despite trying his best to fight them off.

Although the exact conversation cannot be confirmed, reports suggested that the girl had lost her parents. She wanted Khamzat Chimaev to teach her brothers how to fight so that they could defend themselves. The little girl’s crying request seemed to hit ‘Borz’ hard. He looked in a deep struggle with himself, trying to keep his tears away in public and on camera, but he failed and was seen wiping his tears.

ESPN MMA journalist Laura Sanko hailed the tough man’s soft side along with the women’s day posts. Her story’s caption read, “The beautiful and gentle side of these fighters we don’t always see. See the comments for the context of this interaction my understanding is that this girl was orphaned and she asked Chimaev if he would train his brothers how to fight so they could defend themselves”

Fans pull out Chimaev’s Kadyrov connection

While Khamzat Chimaev‘s soft side was appreciated by Laura Sanko and other fans, the fans on Instagram pulled out the Russian’s connections with Chechnya supremo Ramzan Kadyrov. Kadyrov is allegedly involved in a pitched battle with Ukraine. The battle has claimed many lives and fans wanted to draw ‘Borz’s attention to the fact that his friend might be involved in making many such little children orphans. Chimaev has faced constant Criticism from fans for having close ties with Ramzan Kadyrov. He has often shared videos of him being with the supremo and his son in the past.
