‘We Gonna Change System’- Khabib Nurmagomedov Explains How Eagle FC Will Be Different From UFC

After retiring from professional fighting, Khabib Nurmagomedov has been working on his other businesses. One of them is an MMA promotion in Russia, the Eagle FC. Previously named Gorilla FC, ‘The Eagle’ renamed it after his moniker and built this promotion to launch excellent fighters from Russia.

As Eagle FC has gained immense popularity, the promotion will make its American debut with Eagle FC 44 next month in Miami. The first press conference of the event will take place in Miami on December 15th. Ahead of the event, ‘The Eagle’ appeared in an interview with Red Corner MMA.

Nurmagomedov gave a few insights from his upcoming event and also explained why Eagle FC will differ from other MMA promotions. He said, “This is not about how big we gonna make some. We wanna make a little bit different than other leagues.”

“We gonna make like some weights may be different like some system wanna change. Not everything, like some small things maybe. Not small things like we gonna do like some other, we gonna use other may be systems from other sports, you know.”

“In my league, we gonna change system. Like we gonna become very big around the world the US here, in Russia of course. In the middle east, yeah we have some plans. Who knows, like I cannot talk about everything. Like because I have a press conference, you know, and yeah. I am gonna come out with some big news on 15 December in FLX Arena.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov brings Rashad Evans out of retirement

‘The Eagle’ is making big moves in Eagle Fighting Championship. The next event, Eagle FC 44, will take place on January 28th next year and will mark the return of the former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.

Evans has competed against some of the notable names in the UFC. He became the light heavyweight champion by defeating Forrest Griffin at UFC 92. However, the former champion retired from the sport after facing five consecutive defeats.
