MMA and Boxing are two of the most popular combat sports platforms in the world. While boxing does not have a world-renowned platform, MMA has UFC as one of its representatives. Both boxing and UFC put forward glorious fights in which the fighters put on a show to remember. Sometimes, though, these fights take a toll on fighters, who need increased recovery time. This is where Dana White thinks there is a difference between UFC and boxing.

During an interview, White was talking about the same, “That’s the difference between us and a lot of these boxing fights. we have such a deep roster, you know, we can put on fights for a very long time and we let these kids have time off.”

Every fighter who steps into the ring puts his body on the line to entertain the fans. And White believes it is the platform’s obligation to give the fighters enough time to heal.

“Whether it’s they had a concussion or, you know, there’s no season here, so we don’t need to get somebody back in a hurry before the season’s over. We let these kids take the time to heal up and when it’s time for them to come back, they come back.”

The UFC has a plethora of events coming up, and UFC 261 is the big upcoming event. The main event of this card is the much-anticipated fight between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal. Apart from that, there are two more title fights scheduled for the event. Weili Zhang is all set to face Rose Namajunas, while Valentina Shevchenko is going to face Jessica Andrade.

Dana White is correct in saying that the fighters need time to heal after they have gone through a brutal match and the UFC provides them with the same. Even though the UFC doesn’t over-exert their fighters, they can still put on incredible shows one after the other. For now, fans are excited to watch UFC 261 and enjoy the fight between Usman and Masvidal.
