UFC legend Alistair Overeem is by no means a small guy considering that he fought in the heavyweight division his entire career. Measuring up to 6 feet 4 inches and weighing almost 250 pounds, he is believed by many to be one of the elite strikers in combat sports. So it came as quite a surprise when another non-combat individual towered over the 42-year-old former Strikeforce champion in a photo that was posted on Instagram. The individual here is Dutch personality Olivier Richters, who fittingly goes by the name of ‘Dutch Giant’ amongst his fans.

One of the best suggestions was made by a fan who had an unusual request for the UFC

“We need a super heavyweight division in the ufc for monsters like this.”

It clearly wouldn’t have been complete without a WWE reference being made.

“‘This big a*s dude should be in the WWE. Big Show 3.0.”

More about Olivier Richters

Richters is a 33-year-old Dutch bodybuilder and actor. Although many would consider him a physical specimen by looking at his obvious features, what really makes him stand out is his acting capabilities. He has been a part of major production houses like Marvel Studios and, most recently, was working on an upcoming Indiana Jones movie. Along with his acting duties, Richters also runs his online supermarket ‘Muscle Meat’ serving as the CEO of the company.

Judging from the size difference, it’s natural for fans to look at the photo and wonder how a fight would go down between the two. Looking at Richter, maybe a superheavyweight division doesn’t sound like a bad idea for the UFC at all.
