It is quite common for Conor McGregor to engage in Twitter wars with other UFC fighters. In fact, he is quite famous for his trash talk, Twitter wars, and call-outs within the MMA community. A new name on McGregor’s list is Max Holloway.
McGregor and Holloway first clashed back in 2013 as they aimed to move up the ranks. McGregor won the bout through a unanimous decision. However, both the fighters were able to keep their relationship professional and respectful.

Recently, Holloway and McGregor engaged in online Twitter banter. Many fans are excited to see if this could translate into them clashing in the octagon once again.
Max Holloway talks about Conor McGregor
In a pre-fight interview, Holloway discussed his back-and-forth with McGregor on Twitter. He said, “I don’t say nothing to Conor that I wouldn’t say to a training partner, you know what I mean. And Conor don’t say nothing to me that he wouldn’t say to a training partner.”

He further said, “We some competitive guys, and I mean like, I’ll probably be going to Twitter wars with him until he’s 60.”
Holloway continued, “I got nothing but respect for him, but this is a competitive. We understand what it takes to be here… to actually compete at this level. And who doesn’t like some banter?”
From Holloway’s comments, it is clear that he respects McGregor as a fighter. However, he has also made it clear that he, too, is very competitive.

Banter is surely an important aspect of the business and generates a lot of attention. This banter between Holloway and McGregor has led to fans speculating a potential fight between the two.
When asked about a bout against ‘The Notorious’, Holloway did not confirm nor deny it. Instead, he asked everyone to be ready for a great ride. He will next fight Yair Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night.
