Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time. With a 29-0 record, ‘The Eagle’ stands unbeaten his in professional career. He successfully defended his lightweight gold three times in his career. However, he retired from combat sports after winning his title fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.
The Dagestan native is now pursuing his own promotion called Eagle Fighting Championship in Russia. Nurmagomedov’s teammates and friends are also competing in this organization. The Eagle recently posted on Instagram to show his support to his fellow teammate.

Khabib wrote in the caption, “After a couple of battles, @shamilzavurov is entering one of his last fights of his brilliant career. And we are there and will support Brother in any scenario.”
When it comes to his friends and family Nurmagomedov never fails to support them no matter what the situation. The Eagle has been actively coaching and mentoring his teammates. Throughout the first half of 2021, he has been, in the eyes of some, a coach of the year candidate.
Who is Khabib Nurmagomedov supporting?
The former lightweight champion of UFC is now the owner of the Eagle Fighting Championship which had an event in Kazakhstan. The EFC 37 fight card reflected many alluring fights, one of which featured Shamil Zavurov.

‘The Dagestan Lion’ (40-6-1) destroyed Ricardo Tirloni via TKO in the second round of the fight. Hence, he retired on the back of a five-fight win streak, with a proud Khabib watching on.

Despite his retirement Nurmagomedov reflects a deep love for the sport and doesn’t miss a chance to get involved in it in any way possible. These gestures of the former champion show his attachment to MMA and his fellow teammates. It proves that Khabib Nurmagomedov is a complete person inside and outside the octagon.
