When Aljamain Sterling refused to fight Sean O’Malley after he defeated Henry Cejudo, UFC President Dana White didn’t seem entirely convinced or happy with the decision the former UFC Bantamweight champion had taken. The fact of the matter is that fighters need time to recover between fights to give their best shot.

UFC Women’s Strawweight fighter Jessica Andrade doesn’t seem to be one of them. Andrade seems to be a fighting machine and according to stats, she is currently gearing up for her fifth fight this year. Now whether that is her decision or the promotion’s is still unknown.

The UFC obviously doesn’t pay its fighters as much as the NFL or the NBA pays its athletes. This is because the UFC is a relatively new promotion and MMA has only become famous among the masses, recently. That is why when the news of UFC Women’s Strawweight fighter Jessica Andrade’s fifth fight for 2023 was announced for UFC 295, the fans couldn’t help but wonder what could be the driving factor for her. What’s more, is that UFC 295 will be a major event for the UFC this year since it will feature the Heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.

The year started well for her as she won her fight against Lauren Murphy in January, by decision. However, it started to go downhill for her from there. After defeating Murphy, Andrade has been a part of three more important fights this year and she has lost all of them – either by submission or by TKO/KO. Currently, Jessica Andrade is on a 3-loss streak.
