Johnson made his UFC debut in 2011 and remained a part of the organization till 2018. He signed up with ONE Championship a year later. The ‘Mighty Mouse’ had a sour relationship with Dana White during the last phase of his UFC career. However, he did wish to mend the differences.
During a 2017 interview with Ariel Helwani, Johnson compared his relationship with White to Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian. He wished they don’t end up as the celebrity couple did.
“I don’t think it’s fair when you have two grown men bicker on the f*cking Internet. You know what I mean? We’ll end up like Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian. Grown men, they sit down and talk about it, and that’s what we’re going to do in two weeks.”
“It was just a big misunderstanding and we’re going to meet with Dana White. Dana White’s a grown-ass man, I am too, he’s got kids, I got kids, we’re going to sit down and get on the same level and go from there and see what options we have,” Johnson added.

Notably, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian were in a relationship but got separated after an ugly spat that saw guns and violence involved. The matter has recently resurfaced amid a court battle between Chyna and the Kardashians.

It didn’t get this far between Johnson and White, but things were indeed getting ugly. The duo indulged in verbal exchanges on social media and in interviews. In fact, Johnson accused White of “bullying and despicable treatment.”

This has been one of the biggest factors behind the success of Dana White and UFC in general. It hasn’t allowed fighters to dictate terms whenever such a situation arose. In fact, even the biggest names in the industry have had to surrender in front of White.
The ‘Mighty Mouse’ is considered one of the GOAT by many fans. But it doesn’t affect how White treated him, as an employee of his company.

This was followed by an ugly dispute between Johnson and White. Eventually, the UFC scrapped the idea and moved to other things. But it scarred Johnson’s relationship with the organization and he eventually left for ONE Championship less than a year later.
