Dana White is an extremely important person for the whole of UFC and has played a major part in their massive success. Throughout his journey, White has often butted heads against several fighters and other promotors. Last week, Espinoza got into a Twitter battle against UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. This came as a consequence of Usman calling out boxing megastar Canelo Alvarez. Espinoza mocked the UFC fighters by saying that they only want a “boxing paycheck” but don’t understand that boxers get to choose their opponents.

This sparked a response from Usman, in which he called Espinoza a “low life” and asked him to “take notes from what Dana has done.”

White gave his take on this situation in the interview with ‘Yahoo! sports’. When the host asked him what he thought of the tweets, he furiously stated,” Yeah, how’s that working out for Espinoza? How’s his business going?… I don’t know, it’s f**king tanking. I can’t even believe that guy still has the job.”

He continued by saying, “You should probably stay off Twitter. If I was, if I was running my business like Espinoza is, I’d stay off Twitter that’s for damn sure.”

White further took a shot at him by saying, ” We’re so not even on the same level.”

The Transition From UFC to Boxing

MMA and boxing are the two biggest combat sports globally. It is extremely rare for fighters from the UFC to compete in boxing or vice versa. A good example of this was superstar Conor McGregor.

He faced off against one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather. This fight broke pay-per-view(PPV) records and proved to people that a trained mixed martial artist could box too. Since then, many fighters have shared their interest in switching to boxing. This includes the likes of Usman and even heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
