Once, on his podcast, Rogan discussed with his guests how a super fight between ‘The Predator’ Francis Ngannou and the light heavyweight GOAT Jon Jones would play out.
“Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou. The only thing that I would hope if that ever happens. Is that we allow Ngannou to get the press that he deserves. Do like to pump him up in a way that he deserves it. To make that fight big,” Rogan stated.
Later, he went on to discuss some traits of ‘Bones’ that separate him from the crowd. He also speculated that maybe there’s a chance that Jones would do even better at the highest weight class in the game.

“Dude, what a fight that would be. What a fight that would be. We’ve never seen Jon where he doesn’t have to lose weight. What if he’s eating healthy, just good large portions and hydrating as much as he wants all day long? Maybe he’s 10% better. We don’t know. Maybe Jon Jones is the best 240 pounds heavyweight in the world, but he’s just been fighting at 205.”

“I mean in this country, he would be a hero of like the scariest guy in the world, was an immigrant that barely spoke English just a little while ago. And now, he’s murking up people, and he’s only been fighting for six years. And he developed his strength, by the way, in a sandmine when he was a child. He’s doing child labor.”
Francis Ngannou recently became the undisputed heavyweight champion of the UFC after defeating interim champion, Ciryl Gane. The fight was scheduled for January 22nd at UFC 270 in Anaheim, California. Here, ‘The Predator’ collected his win via a unanimous decision.
