40-year-old Jim Miller is on the verge of creating history when he enters the Octagon at UFC 300. ‘A 10’ will now hold the record of appearing at all historic events (UFC 100, UFC 200). As a fighter, Miller holds the record for the most number of fights in the UFC(43), which is astonishing in itself.

Jim Miller is about to face a new challenge in his career. He will take on Bobby Green for the first time. Miller’s records and longevity testify to his skill and dedication, sparking discussions about his potential induction into the Hall Of Fame. However, not everyone is convinced, as former UFC Daniel Cormier holds a different view.

Jim Miller was last seen inside the Octagon against Gabriel Benitez at UFC Fight Night. The 40-year-old surprised everyone with his performance. He won the fight via submission in the second round and extended his career record win to 26. Despite holding the record for the most fights and most wins, former champion ‘DC’ still looks unimpressed. The former champion feels that Miller’s record doesn’t guarantee him a place in the Hall Of Fame. Both fighters have engaged in a lot of verbal spats and Cormier, in one of his posts, clearly justified his point.

Cormier shared a post which read,” I love Jim Miller, I’m not s…ting on him but its my point of view. I stand by it man. People disagree all the time but I’m not wrong. My points are valid as are the ones saying he should get in. As the sports keep growing these discussions will happen more. ”

Jim Miller shared his concerns about the “cursed” UFC 300 fight

Jim Miller and Bobby Green will face each other for the first time in their lightweight career. However, the two were scheduled to meet three times before this. On all three occasions, the fight got cancelled because of ‘King’. In 2014, Green withdrew himself from the fight because of an injury. The next fight was scheduled for 2021 and this time ‘King’ failed to make the weight. For the third and final time, Green missed his fight in 2022 because of a failed drug test. Miller, while speaking to MMA Today, shared his initial reaction after the 37-year-old was picked as his opponent.

‘A-10’ stated, “…Dana is like, ‘We’re trying to figure out an opponent for 300. What about Bobby Green?’ My first initial reaction was like, ‘Ah, come on!’ Don’t give me the hiccups and potentially the missed opportunity to fight on 300 because maybe this fight is cursed – who knows?” It now seems that Miller will finally get the opportunity to face Green in his fourth attempt. The fight holds huge importance for both fighters, as a win would extend their legacy in the division. Miller would love to win his fight and cement his place as a Hall Of Famer. Who do you think will win the fight between the two? Let us know in the comments below.
