When one thinks of dominant female fighters, the name Valentina Shevchenko automatically pops into mind. The current UFC flyweight champion has been dominant for a very long period. Shevchenko, apart from fighting, enjoys a lot of different activities, such as shooting, dancing, etc.

Shevchenko’s last title defense came against Lauren Murphy at UFC 266. Since then, ‘Bullet’ went back to her home country of Kyrgyzstan. Back home, Shevchenko involved herself in activities she enjoys, such as horse riding, shooting, etc.

However, after enjoying her break, Shevchenko returned to prepare her sister Antonina Shevchenko for her fight and to train for her own fight as well. While in Vegas, fans saw the Shevchenko sisters enjoying the roads of Las Vegas in their car.

Valentina Shevchenko makes it a point to always keep her fans updated on her whereabouts. The UFC flyweight champion is very active on social media and often posts images of her training sessions, vacations, fight updates, etc.

Valentina Shevchenko is all set to defend her title against Taila Santos at UFC 275. The fight is the co-main event of the evening, with the main event being headlined by Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka.

Going into the bout, Shevchenko has been undefeated in eight consecutive fights. Her last loss came against former UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion, Amanda Nunes. Although Shevchenko lost, many MMA fans believed it was a controversial decision, as the fight was close.

In her eight title defenses, Shevchenko has racked up some amazing wins. Fans claimed that her head kick knockout against Jessica Eye was one of the best knockouts one could see in the female flyweight division.

On the other hand, Taila Santos is on a 4 fight win streak. The Brazilian fighter has an impressive record of 15 wins and 1 loss with 10 wins coming by the way of knockout.

While both fighters are known for their striking and Muay Thai, one could argue that Shevchenko has the better overall game. In her last few fights, Valentina Shevchenko has shown that, along with striking, she is also proficient in her grappling.
