Since the UFC 300 event is yet to happen, we cannot officially confirm the exact payout of the UFC light heavyweight champ. However, we can get an idea about the same by assessing his previous UFC payouts.

According to MMASalaries, Pereira earned $1,197,000 in his last fight against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. This figure reflects his PPV share, show money, win bonus, and by extension, his star power. In his UFC 291 battle against Jan Blachowicz, ‘Poatan’ made somewhere around $455,000.

In his first and only (unsuccessful) title defense (against Israel Adesanya at UFC 287), Pereira earned $1,767,000. This is also his highest UFC payout yet. In his first PPV main event at UFC 281 against ‘Izzy,’ UFC handed the Brazilian fighter a paycheck of $682,000 for his title-winning performance.

As Pereira is going to headline UFC’s biggest event of recent times, we can surely expect a payout higher than all of his past ones. Depending on the PPV bonuses and base salaries, Dana White might pay the former GLORY kickboxing champ anywhere around $2,000,000. This makes one wonder what the UFC star’s contact will be like.

What is ‘Poatan’s UFC contract situation?

Good news for all Alex Pereira fans! ‘Poatan’ isn’t leaving the UFC anytime soon. Even at the age of 36, the UFC light heavyweight champ’s career is far from over.

The two-weight UFC champion signed an 8-fight contract with the UFC recently. He revealed the details of the same in an appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’ show with Ariel Helwani. “Friday I signed, the start of this fight, eight more,” he said. Moreover, the fan-favourite fighter also talked about his relationship with the UFC.

“My relationship with the UFC is really good. I’m very grateful by the way the UFC and my management team get together,” Pereira said. “They’ve been doing great things together. I think the UFC also appreciates who I am because I’m a composed guy, I’m focused, and I deliver,” he added.
