Gane made his professional MMA debut in 2018 only. Before that, ‘Bon Gamin’ used to be a Muay-Thai fighter. That base has helped him immensely as he has successfully transitioned to the sport of mixed martial arts. Here we take a detailed look at Gane’s Muay-Thai career and record.

Ciryl Gane: Muay-Thai career and record

In 2016, Gane made his professional debut as a Muay-Thai fighter under the AFMT promotion. He won his debut fight via second-round T/KO. He also became the champion of the promotion in the process. After another decision win, Gane took on K-1 veteran, Brice Guidon. He won the fight via knockout.

Two more knockout victories set the French fighter up for a clash with WBC Muay-Thai champion, Yassine Boughanem at the Duel 2 promotion. ‘Bon Gamin’ won the contest via decision. That was his last fight in Muay-Thai. He then decided to switch to MMA with a Muay-Thai record of 6-0 under his belt.

Needless to mention, his Muay-Thai background has helped him immensely to transition to the sport of MMA. His range control and the ability to mix kicks with punches are something that makes him so special. He has gotten off to a flying start to his MMA and UFC career. If ‘Bon Gamin‘ can eventually become a UFC champion, remains to be seen.
