Ciryl Gane is set to return to the UFC Octagon next month as he takes on Derrick Lewis with the interim heavyweight title on the line. Gane has a unique fighting style compared to other heavyweights. The Frenchman relies on movement and range control rather than on his powers.

Needless to say, this has been a very welcome change for the fans as they enjoy seeing a heavyweight fighter use those skills inside the Octagon. Most top fighters of the division rely on wild haymakers. But Gane has the perfect remedy for those and is expected to be a stern challenge for ‘The Black Beast’.

Two more knockout victories set the French fighter up for a clash with WBC Muay-Thai champion, Yassine Boughanem at the Duel 2 promotion. ‘Bon Gamin’ won the contest via decision. That was his last fight in Muay-Thai. He then decided to switch to MMA with a Muay-Thai record of 6-0 under his belt.

Needless to mention, his Muay-Thai background has helped him immensely to transition to the sport of MMA. His range control and the ability to mix kicks with punches are something that makes him so special. He has gotten off to a flying start to his MMA and UFC career. If ‘Bon Gamin‘ can eventually become a UFC champion, remains to be seen.
