In a chat with SCMP, Joanna said, “He was supposed to fight for his belt so many times, and I feel like he’s ready. I know he’s ready. He’s been training so hard. It’s been a while since he fought last, but I think it’s the time. I wish he was fighting Jon Jones, but the fight with Reyes is going to be a very interesting match-up, a very tough fight for both of them.” (h/t BloodyElbow)

Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s reaction to Jan Blachowicz winning the title

Blachowicz faced the powerful Dominick Reyes at UFC 253 and won via a knockout. The 38-year-old Pole became the first fighter apart from Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier to hold the 205 lbs title since 2011. Jon Jones had previously dropped his light heavyweight title to compete in the heavyweight division.

When Blachowicz won the light heavyweight title, Jedrzejczyk could not contain her happiness and had the sweetest reaction.

She also wrote on Twitter to congratulate her fellow Polish fighter.

Jedrzejczyk hasn’t been in the octagon for a while. Her last fight was against Zhang Weili at UFC 248. Even though Jedrzejczyk lost to ‘Magnum’, this fight is remembered as one of her best performances.

When Jedrzejczyk returns to the octagon, it would be rather interesting to see Blachowicz support her. What do you think about this comradeship? Let us know in the comments below.
