UFC featherweight contender Charles ‘Air’ Jourdain is set to take on fellow featherweight, Sean ‘The Sniper’ Woodson at UFC 297. The matchup between the two is an absolute treat for the fight fans given how technically sound both fighters are. But who exactly is Charles Jourdain?

Jourdain is a 28-year-old fighter, who has a professional record of 15 wins and 6 losses. The 28-year-old joined the UFC promotion back in May of 2019, against Desmond Green. The featherweight has had a career of ups and downs in the UFC, but never fails to bring excitement every time he steps inside the octagon.

Charles Jourdain was born and brought up in Beloeil Quebec, Canada. Along with two older brothers and one younger sibling, Louis Jourdain, who is also pursuing a career in MMA, with a professional MMA record of (7-3).

Jourdain seems to be Caucasian but has a very diverse ethnic background. Though proudly representing the flag of Canada, Jourdain hails from a French-speaking region in Quebec. And is also assumed to have French ancestry.

Charles Jourdain is engaged to long-term girlfriend and now fiancé, Clarence Lessard. Clarence runs an upscale store called, “Its by Clarence”, and the two often post about their lives on social media.

Charles Jourdain has a similar background to UFC legend and Hall of Famer Georges St. Pierre, as both fighters are French Canadians and are both from Quebec. The two have even been compared in the past.

‘Air’ shuts down comparisons with Georges St. Pierre

In the past, Charles Jourdain was compared to Georges St. Pierre given that both fighters are from Quebec. Regardless, ‘Air’ took no time to shut down the comparison between the two, when the Quebec media stated that he would never reach the Goat.

In a UFC fight night press conference, he stated, “Because I’m not like Georges, they don’t give a sh*t about me.” However, Jordain went on to say that it didn’t bother him anymore because he had learned to live with it. He claimed that he has become a little more self-centered and focuses more on his family than anything else.
