While Nate Diaz is missing from action in the octagon, the Stockton-born fighter made a big claim. During his appearance on The MMA Hour, Diaz said the only two fighters worthy of fighting him were Israel Adesanya and Francis Ngannou. While the internet was struck by this, UFC boss Dana White responded to the fighter’s wish.

When the UFC President was notified of Diaz’s intention to fight Israel Adesanya or Francis Ngannou, White had quite the reaction. He said, “Nate Diaz said Ngannou and Adesanya?… And what should I say to that?”

The UFC President further added, “I mean imagine having a f*****g conversation like that. I mean… it’s come on. I think Diaz vs Francis Ngannou. What should I say? F*****g stand there like holy sh*t this is crazy.”

While White seemed irritated by Diaz’s demand, the Stockton-born fighter made allegations against the UFC President. The 170-pound fighter also hinted toward wanting a release from the promotion.

Nate Diaz on not being offered fights

The Ultimate Fighter season 5 winner Nate Diaz was last seen in the UFC octagon at UFC 263. Diaz took on Leon Edwards and lost via unanimous decision. Since then, fans and followers of the fighter have been waiting for his return.

In a recent tweet, Nate Diaz spoke about not being offered fights. The UFC fighter wrote, “Dana said Francis Ngannou was injured and couldn’t fight right now Idk why he was so confused in interview. And in the last 9 months I been offered 0 fights and I asked for 5 legitimate opponents .. Thanks u for the kind words can I go now”

While MMA fans would want to see Diaz compete in the octagon, the welterweight fighter has opportunities outside the UFC. He once also gave a hint about the same.

What’s next for Diaz?

There was a strong rumor of Nate Diaz potentially facing Khamzat Chimaev. However, that fight looks far from reality. Diaz, who is on a 2-fight losing streak in his UFC career, is looking to test his boxing skills against Jake Paul.

The current 170-pound fighter had requested a release via Twitter. He also added a video of Paul knocking out Tyron Woodley, which further fueled the rumor of him fighting Paul. Diaz wrote, “Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or august I have bigger sh*t to do”
