“What We Think of Toxic Masculinity Is Really a…” – Joe Rogan Slams Woke Culture for ‘Crazy’ Ideology

Episode number 1916 of the Joe Rogan Experience saw the UFC commentator sit down with actor Jon Bernthal who is famous for his roles in ‘Punisher’ and ‘The Walking Dead’. The duo talked about various topics along with the currently prevalent woke culture and everything that was wrong with it. Rogan even went as far as to criticize people who overused certain woke terms like ‘toxic masculinity’ and gave an extremely unbiased opinion on the topic.
While discussing the idea of toxic masculinity, both Rogan and Bernthal found themselves in the common ground, as they both shared the same belief regarding people with that trait.

Joe Rogan and Jon Bernthal discuss toxic masculinity
Some would like to believe that Rogan seemed to have expressed the opinions of a majority of men with his statements. Jon Bernthal also belongs to the same school of thought as Rogan, and the actor was quite agreeable about the entire discussion. The UFC commentator stated, “The people that are high achievers don’t really have to beat their own chest or blow their own horns. What we think of toxic masculinity is really a bunch of losers. A lot of this is like the worst example.” Bernthal also agreed with this remark by the UFC commentator.

The 55-year-old podcaster also shed light on the fact that, although the term toxic masculinity was prevalent; the same couldn’t be said for toxic femininity. He also mentioned that the idea of toxicity has more to do with humans than gender.

“You know there’s no term toxic femininity. But there’s toxic human beings, some of them happen to be male, some of them happen to be female, but it’s not an indictment on the male gender of the species,” said Rogan.

Rogan shares his opinion on the woke culture
The stand-up comedian has always held opposing views on topics revolving around woke culture and feminism. While talking to Bernthal, he took the opportunity to debunk the idea that some people believe men are not needed.
He stated, “The idea that you don’t need men like female is the future. What are you talking about? That’s crazy. You need a balance. There’s a yin and yang in this life for a reason. All of it goes together, everybody has to do better”.
