Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum were supposed to fight at UFC 234 back in February 2019. However, the fight was called off as ‘The Reaper’ suffered a severe medical emergency and required emergency surgery. Now, two years later, the middleweights will fight on April 17, as the main event at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs Gastelum.

Following his title fight defeat to Israel Adesanya in October 2019, ‘Bobby Knuckles’ has defeated Darren Till and Jared Cannonier. Meanwhile, Gastelum suffered three losses (one in an interim title fight against ‘The Last Stylebender‘) before claiming a victory against Ian Heinisch at UFC 258 in February.
